Influence of Physical Activity Engagement on Student Leaders Personal and Leadership Development

Abstract- This study examined the influence of physical activity on the personal and leadership abilities of student leaders at Batangas State University- TNEU San Juan Campus. The study used a descriptive-correlational research approach that includes 92 student leaders selected using stratified random sampling using Raosoft calculator. Data were collected on involvement in aerobic, anaerobic/strength, individual, dual and team sports as well as markers of personal growth and leadership capabilities. Individual, dual and team sports were found to have significant relationship in terms of social responsibility, teamwork and decision-making. Aerobic, anaerobic. Strength and mind-body activities on the other hand, had weaker connections most likely due to their self-centered nature which allows for less interpersonal involvement and collaborative skills development. The findings highlight the importance of socially interactive physical activities in developing effective leadership skills and comprehensive personal development among student leaders. These findings may help to shape the design of campus programs that promote leadership through structured physical activity.
